FOBL was formed in March 1998 to raise money to buy books for the Bryanston Library.  FOBL members donate an annual amount of their choosing, and together with income derived from monthly FOBL book sales, we buy the latest books for the exclusive use of our members. After a minimum of 6 months exclusive use, and after all outstanding reservations have been satisfied, books are donated to the Bryanston Library.

Using this website, FOBL members may reserve a book of their choice from the FOBL Library within the comfort of their home.  New books are added every month.

You are encouraged to suggest new titles that are likely to have appeal to our members.

You can borrow any of the books in the FOBL Library for 21 days, and check a list of the latest books placed on the FOBL shelf on-line.

The Rules are Simple:

• By donating an annual sum of your choice, (we aim that the average annual donation covers the cost of a book), you have the choice of reserving and reading any of the books in the FOBL Library.
• There is no charge to reserve a FOBL book.  You can do it from your home computer, tablet, or smart phone.  You will be notified when your book becomes available.
• You can borrow 2 FOBL Library books and reserve another, in addition to the books you borrow from the library.
• FOBL Library books waiting to be borrowed are placed on special shelves in the library.
• You can join FOBL and renew on-line.
• You can view all the current books in the FOBL Library, the new books just placed on the FOBL shelves, and the very latest books purchased and already in the Pipeline.
